- Develop relationships with suppliers to resolve delivery and quality concerns and obtain documents;
- Update Purchase Orders with current delivery information;
- Ensures the timely delivery of quality products at the lowest possible cost
- Conducts a comparative analysis on supplier prices
- May inspect products received for quality and quantity to ensure adherence to specifications.
- Maintains records and follow up files of purchases, shipments, and related matters.
- Follows up on orders to ensure that materials are shipped and delivered on promised dates.
- Responsible for the ordering of materials, supplies, and/or equipment, and the follow through with vendors on shipment and delivery.
- Verifies that the required order is within the agreed budget
